File Sub-Tab (Schedule Report File Generation)

Reports can automatically be generated at specified intervals using the Maintenance Connection Agent Service. Automated file generation is only supported in on-site installations, where files can be saved to a local server.

The File sub-tab on the Schedule tab allows you to establish settings for generation, including the location to store the generated file.

ClosedEnable Automated Report Generation

  1. Click the File sub-tab.

  2. Select On from the File Schedule field.

    Additional controls appear on the page.

  3. Select the frequency at which this report should be generated from the Frequency fields.

  4. Enter the date and time the email report generation should begin in the Begin On fields.

  5. Select the type of file that should be generated from the File Type field.

  6. Enter the location at which the file should be stored in the File Path field.

    Files can only be saved to local servers at on-site installations. For example h:\\public\mainshop\reports\ .

  7. Enter the name that the file should have in the File Name field.

  8. To add the generation date to the file name, select the Add Date to File Name check box.

  9. Click the Apply button.

    Your changes are saved.

ClosedDisable Automated Report Generation

  1. Click the File sub-tab.

  2. Select Off from the File Schedule field.

    The additional controls on the page disappear.

  3. Click the Apply button.

    Your changes are saved.
